Datasets

To make the tracking and usage of uploaded data easier, Alvíss AI uses the concept of Datasets. In a Dataset, the chosen uploaded files are grouped together and then used for training models and drawing the insights.

New Dataset

After you have uploaded your data files it’s time to create a Dataset. To do so, choose your files of interest out of the Data Uploads and Create a New Dataset. Simple as that!

Note

It is possible to extend an existing Dataset, which is especially useful when you want to add a new data source or update your data with new observations.

Here, you can also Add External Variables. Choose the macro variables of interest and they will be added to your Dataset automatically.

Active Dataset

For the Dataset to be used as a default in your project, it needs to be activated. You can activate a dataset while creating it, by clicking on the lightning bolt in a dataset list, or from a specific Dataset’s details page.

The Active Dataset is the one being shown in Activities and chosen by default for model training and drawing insights.
